well I have a dilemna. Im moving both my amps to the trunk, where one was under my seat, so my dist. block was under my seat. Well now that they will be in the trunk my 1/0ga wire is not long enough.
I have i think 8 or 9 feet of 1/0awg and it reaches to under my driver seat, so ill need at least another 5-8feet of 1/0. Should I just order however much I need and connect the two somehow?
Should I order a new 15ft piece so its all one smooth wire, or what? I cant really think of how to connect them, other than soldering, which seems like it would take an hour to solder 1/0wire, 5223 thousand strands or something :P
anyways the reason I ask instead of just deciding on my own is because you all know how expensive 1/0 is and at this point i cant just throw money out to spend.
by the way my sound system is 1500watts rms, if i get the power inverter for my waffle iron it would be 2700watts rms, but the power inverter wouldnt always be on. maybe i should go to 2awg?

ideally, replace the cable with a single contiguous piece.
if you choose not to, then find a 0ga wire splice. I know home depot has tehm for 8 and 4 gauge, but not sure about 0ga.
that mayb e something you'll have to hunt for, then it'll have to be heat shrink wrapped and isolated to prevent anything from shorting it out or piercing it. you'll also want to shielf that splice to avoid any noise introduction.

Hey, just put another fuse under the seat.
That another solution if you happen to have the wire on hand.
If you dont have the wire it would just be cheaper to run all new.
I wouldnt try to splice it. Just not worth the risk IMHO
