knukonceptz has some new power wire

Post by Chris from Washington »

Just browsing the thier site, and it looks like they have a new line of power wire

http://http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KLM0BL

current load wise, it's the same as their Eko line at 250A.
Looks to be cheaper too, 1.75/ft compared to 2.25ft/ for the eko.

made up of 90% Aluminum and 10% Copper. Consisting of 5145 Strands of CCA the KLM Kable is equal in size to the Kolossus Kable, but is designed for lighter current load[/quote]

Anyone know how having it made up of 90% aluminum effects performance? I need to get some wire for the car, and just wondering if I should get the Kolossus (since they are out of the eko) or go ahead and get this?

not much bro. i have a resistivity chart i could dig up or i belive i posted it once here but its very very negligible. if your not right on the rim of 250 amps its not gonna make a diffrence. yes and ryan is correct but the diffrence is minimal like .00003 or some bullshit like that.

Ya, that's what I was wondering if there was some drastic reason not to get it.

Their prices are starting to go up, so I better get some soon.

at that price snag twice - 4 times what you need. most wire places have gone through the roof. and are about 150 dollars for 40 ft. its getting ruff with copper prices the way they are.

A local somewhat box store carries car audio they get from The Wholesale House.

SO they sell wire by the foot.

8 ga is $0.59/ft
4 Ga is $1.56/Ft
0 Ga is $4.99/Ft

All of the sudden there was this HUGE price spike...

8 Ga/ $0.99/ft
4 Ga/ $3.69/ft
0 Ga/ $8.99/ft

I laughed at the guy and told him they better reconsider their prices...

There is no way in hell that shit went up that much, none...

Also as a side note, copper isnt exactly cheap right now either...
