E Bay scum scammers...

Post by Ryan from Ohio »

ANyone else been getting them fake "second chance" offers.

Well here is the hilarious part.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... &rd=1&rd=1

There, I won the item! Yet I got one of them ultra official looking "Second Chance" offers.

Heres a pic:

Looks pretty offical, as they all do.

SInce this guy is a complete asshat, and since I really won the auction (and already sent payment to the correct person through E Bay pages) I decided to email the guy about my intrest to buy this item.

Heres his reply:
Scammer Scum Bag Person wrote:Hello ,
I have started this second chance offer because the winner of my auction didn`t respond to my emails. There are lots of bidders who bid on the auction for fun and I hope you are serious and we can make a clear deal. You have the Second Chance to purchase the Item at your last bid price.
Well in this moment i`m in the UK for some personal problems but the item will be shipped from US and my wife will arrange it! The deal will go strictly according to eBay's rules and policy regarding to this second chance offer. Let me know if you are interested and I will start the official procedure. Once the transaction starts, you will be notified by eBay . I will handle the shipping, so this will be free of charge for you. Also, a refund policy will be included.

PS : Just follow my directions- everything will become clear after you will receive the instructions set from eBay.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

I can really buy this item?

Really?

Ryan
Ive replied back and told him I would like to go ahead with the purchase.

Im not quite sure what Im going to do when he gives me his mailing address. Im thinking of sending him a nice note with a certain amount of Arm & Hammer Baking powder in it... "Fake anthrax", but I fear thats probably illegal- but this douche deserves a scare.

Yeah (as funny as it would be) I wouldn't do the fake anthrax thing. UNLESS your REALLY smart about it.

IMO there are better ways to get him back. Without risking jail time.

So, did you actually WIN the unit or was that "second chance offer" just a bust?

Take that address and give it to your local BBB. Maybe they can make something happen with it being the early stages of the scam. Generally by the time they are notified, the scammer has already fled. You might surprise the scum sucker, and at the same time do a lot of people a favor.
