I don't think it's the same amp. Mine is pretty old, but it is all white with purple lettering. I hope it doesn't have a high THD rate since I'm using it for components.Ryan from Ohio wrote:http://www.sounddomain.com/memberpage/263525/2
I put mine in the door with the Cambridge COmps I had.
Never ever had a problem....
The PPI Sedona, is that the older series with a real high THD rate? Like a silver/gold color with a V in it.....

Not sure about the year because I traded for it from one of my friends. I know it is probably mid to late 90's and it was made in the US, so it's not one of the newer crappier models. It has an integrated 2-way crossover for low or high frequencies, but I'm not sure how the high crossover works. I wish I had a manual or something. I have searched the internet several times and can't find any info about it.
hey I have a 99 accord and there is a few places in the door where you can put it. just take the panel off and you can look at the panel and see wherever it is concave (i think its concave) basically where there is an indentation, a valley, a dip in the door panel...type of thing. You could either attach it to the inside of the panel, or to the actual metal of the door. If you are attaching it to the inside of the panel just be careful to not screw through to the other side :P (if you are screwing) Thats where I have mine, although I am moving mine to the trunk when I do the false floor.
im not sure if its true or not but some people say if you mount your x-overs by power wire (in doors) it can pickup noise. thats one thing that sucks about mounting/damping in accord doors...there's soooo many wires and harnesses and such. thats a main reason why i want to move it to trunk, too much stuff going on and crossing over each otheri n the doors.
by the way let me know if you need help getting the panels off or finding screws or anything

Thanks everyone for the info. I removed the door panel and found a perfect spot just below the speaker. There is plenty of room between the door and panel, so its a go.
BTW, the mounting hardware that came with my Rainbow components is very cheap and each tweeter cup mount broke when snapped together. I plan on posting in the product review section after I get them up and running.

I was being super careful with the mounting cups, but the directions for this component set are awful. Some obvious translation problems and little if any detail. It is just not the best angle mount system that I've seen, but I'm sure the sound quality will be excellent. I managed to make it work by using the screws that fit into the back of the tweeter. It looks really nice mouted in the corner of the door. I won't get to hear them for a few days because I have to use silicone to seal the build-outs that I made for the doors. The speakers are too deep for my doors and the surface is not very flat.
