The Po'Mans Sound Damping Thread...

Post by Ryan from Ohio »

Well,

In my quest to find a cheap sound damping alternative and all my industrial endeavours at work I stumbled onto a new item.

You know that nice liquid sound damping stuff people are selling for big bucks?

How about a 5 gallon pail of it for under $69?

Yes thats right- $69!

http://www.mcmaster.com

look for page 3274 Item #9545T1

I will be buying a 5 gallon pail for sure!

Hell at these prices I may buy a few and repackage them as Car Audio Central Sound Damping :p

I've always wondered how do they determined the area coverage of these liquid dampers?

Based off an average thickness needed to yield specifics
