a stroked and bored 302 (350cid) would be fine in that car, with a new top end on the motor. cam, heads, etc

u know those prochargers are nothign to scoff at i saw a guy who has a 69 Charger who ran 9.6 in the 1/4 mle at mopar Nats 2 years ago with highly moded 440 and a procharger on his car... Besides the slicks in the rear his car looks stock... actually its all black and it was scary looking when it pulled up to the line. When i talked to him he said that that procharger was way better than his old supercharger he had run before

I was going to push it out of the garage and give it a good washin and vaccum, but I over slept... I probably wont have pictures until tuesday afternoon, I work ever day until then (14 hour days.)

But yeah, I'll more than likely do the 5.0, maybe bore and stroke it... I still want it to be daily driveable if I wanted to do so, but I also want it to be able to move.

My cousin just bought a 87 mustang gt, his has the 5.0, 5 speed with sunroof... His runs pretty good but the body is pretty ruff, none the less the motor is still coming out to be built..

Well get the cars cleaned up on tuesday and take some pictures of them... :happy055:

procharger is the company. it's just an intercooled centrifugal supercharger. a roots blower is still superior.

eatons are snailshells, too.
roots go on longitudinally mounted engines (as opposed to transverse)
Roots are the ones you see sticking through the hood. think road warrior and super comp dragsters and your typical blown V8 muscle car type.
better power band, and a lot more boost.
the only thing centrfugals really excel at is track use in high powerbands.
Otherwise they don't spool and produce the kind of boost a roots blower can off the line.

very true, but for a street car I would go centrifugal myself. For a race car that I might drive to the strip I would go roots. Well, actually, I am more of a turbo fan lately. Plus they sound really cool!!! lol

I actually think I would like a turbo better on the street, less on the low end so you won't blow your tires on the launch. Unless your driving on slicks I suppose.
