Bought me a mustang.

Post by MobileAudio219 »

Its a 1986 mustang gt, T-Tops, 5.0, 5 speed. Currently it has no motor or tranny but the interior and body are in exellent shape. I'm going to build up a fairly decent 5.0 and hopefully have it running by early spring.

Between the blazer and this I will have no money, but oh well...

sweet. I have always like the older 5.0's. What color is it? Should'nt have to much trouble finding a block for it or a tranny, most were 5 speeds if I remember correctly. I'm excited fo ya. Pic's please

the first year for fuel injection....sweet, in 87 they went to a larger throttle body and got a little more power and in 89 switched to a mass air vx. a speed density type fuel injection, in my opinion if you can do it in your state an all motor carb'd setup is the way to go.....i love the 86 and older stangs......

I thought about going carbed, but I dont really know... I really want to get some nices heads, cam, intake, yada yada... I'm not in a real big hurry getting it running, I have the blazer as a daily so I CAN take my sweet time doing it up right. All my income taxes along with about 30 + % of my check will be going into this car, I want it to be NICE!!!!

Kenne bell? What? :happy055:

As it has no motor presently... it would kind of depend on what you put in it...
If you go factory 5 point slow, then it will need that extra kick.
If you really want to go all motor... screw the ecu and go old school 302 or 351... or bigger :)
