You say a diploma from a "regular high school" dose this mean you got a GED dipolma? Sound like it.... But you say from a regular high school that sounds like you got a high school dipolma...or maybe im just tired...lol

Smoker, you just described my dream school and graduation party. Most people even if they hate highschool love college, not me I hate college. I put absolutely nothing into my classes, for me kind of above average intelligence, show up and get a A. I love to learn new things and to be an expert in whatever interest me, such as in terrorism/counterterrorism, Islamic religion and Islamic fundamentalism, and learning Arabic. All of which I am starting to study myself. Basically, I can do much better teaching/learning things myself than sitting in a classroom and listening to a teacher drone on and on. I will get my degrees, Masters in about 1 year and 2 months, just to show my future employer lookie here I got me an education.

college doesn't teach you what to learn, it teaches you how to learn.
it also instills a certain discipline that employers look for. The same can be said of the military as well.

no it was an actual diploma from a regular high school, it was a program they used to have, where people who were either too old to go back to high school or had no intention of college could go, (you had to have your deans approval to get in if you were going to drop out to do it though), it was in a school building and they had night teachers and classes and it was a work at your own pace type of thing, except in the summer when school was out they had day classes available, it was awesome, i didnt know one person i graduated with.

i think military instills much more discipline, college is pretty laid back, if i was an employer i would value military experience over college experience, but then again i guess that depends on the open position.

High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED): Much better than the standard G.E.D., supposedly.

Not sure how it works in your area, but to get a HSED you'll need to pass the GED, earn any missing high school credits, finish 24 semester credits or 32 quarter credits, and a couple other things. Can't remember all that I had to do, but I have both GED and HSED.

But it's good to see you're on the right track. Keep it up.

isn't HSED what you get when you attend highschool, earn all the credits, but don't graduate (basically, thanks for showing up!)

The HSED can be taken just like the GED. It has a few more requirements though. Not only do you take the normal GED tests, but you also have to do the following (may be dependant on state)

Civic Literacy
Health
Life Management Skills
Career Awareness

Ask your teacher. I'm not sure if all states have it or not. I know Florida and Wisconsin does.
