Got permission to take my GED!!!!
Ok well i walked into the GED classroom yesterday and the teacher said " I got some news". I said "is it good or bad and if its bad i dont want to hear it". Well she said "i think you would think it would be good news." Well she pulled out some paper work from the testing I did. I really had a weird look on my face by then. She said "you can now take your GED but that dosent mean you should quit studying." So I took the paper work to Griffin Tech and the ppl went over my paper work there and said these are some great pretest grades. Now all i have to do is wait 3 weeks and let the state sign off of it because I am under age.
Glad to here you're taking the right steps after a mistake.
I've seen too many people drop out of school only to work in fast food or something like that, and end up with a poor me attitude.

Good, college will truly expand your mind if you're open to that. I found that, personally, college for me is more than just learning about literature and what crazy math concepts I can figure out. It gives you more knowledge about how the world works and how to figure things out/critically analyze.

friend of mine dropped out today, day 1 of 10
still working on talking him out of it, doesnt make any sense
problem is his dad is a a ceo for Froest Data Systems, and this kid has been around computers since like 5 so he knows a lottttt and hes gonna make a lot of money with computers, so hes just gonna get a job right away rather then graduate with his senior class.
i dont get it cause senior is best year by far, so easy and laid back
just sort of dissapointing

Its been my experience that college isnt all about learning. I mean it is to an extent, its more to show future employers that you are truley trainable and a wise investment.

well, i dropped out, of course i hated school and much preferred working and had no intentions of going to college. i did however go to an adult education center and for 10 dollars i took a test, scored in the 98th percentile, and all i had to do was show up for graduation. it took a few hours to take the test though. it was pretty cool, it was for me how high school should have been, show up take a test, went to work that afternoon, got the test results the next week and was told i passed with a high enough score to not have to come back to class, i showed up for graduation, got my diploma, (yes from a regular high school), borrowed a cap and gown from the school, smiled for my mom, had juice and a cookie and got the hell out of there............
