What brand speakers do YOU use?

but i also wanted to see how many people used 6x9" vs. 6.5" round. It looks to me more people use 6.5" than 6x9.

6/9s and oval speakers are a poor speaker design in general. Thats why most of us run 6.5s. If you read down a ways on the link I posted, ryan does a pretty good job explaining it in more detail.

You say you are "planning" - before you put a plan together, read this first:

You might just reconsider having any speakers in the rear at all.
(nice side benefits too - more money to spend on good speakers, more bass in car, fewer rattles, less distortion )

How many high-end home stereo systems do you see with more than two speakers? You got it - zero.
Music is recorded in two channel stereo - you can only play it back in two channel stereo - and as soon as you introduce multiple sets of speakers all playing the same thing from different distances from your ears, phasing anomolies start to wreak havoc with your imaging and SQ.

you may also note that my car is set up for SQ, and has only 1 sub and a front stage.
that doesn't mean it can't get uncomfortably loud.

1) Within virtually any manufacturer are studs and duds - and even with respect to that, some truly excellent products rank pretty darn low on the "bang for the buck" scale, making them not easily recommended... and some ho-hum products rank very high on the bang-for-the-buck scale, making them easy to recommend, depending on the enthusiast, their experience, and their goals.
Speaking of which...

Kicker ss 51/4"- At the retail price there is not much "bang for the buck!" should not complain for what i paid though
