i found a power acoustik a1000db which is rated at 450w x 4 ohm. if i had a 15'' compvr dual 2 ohm and wired it in series would this be better than the profile?

I would go with the Power Acoustik before the Profile, but that's because I've had better luck with Power Acoustik.

that a1000db is a solid amp. the gothic series are actually really nice.

Another to look into is SPL, they are made by Power Acoustik and we have had a lot of great luck with them.

you could look into Visonik, MA Audio, Quantum, and maybe get on Ebay and you might be able to score a JBL 600.1 or 300.1 for cheap..
