stripper tester

Post by cargodz »

I know you're all a bunch of dirty minded kids :p
It's a tool wire stripper and line tester in one:

You can turn it over take the handle and run it along the wire and there is a little light in the bottom that lights up and an audible beep lets you know where there is a voltage drop.
It's kinda a cool lil toy, not that I need it but all of the hand tools are on sale for 20% off :happy055:

Sounded good at first with the exception of having to see you strip possibly...lol

Does it let you know before or after cutting into the wires?

ouch!

I have one. Bought it from Home Depot a couple months ago. It's alright. You don't have to turn it around for it to know the wire is live. If it gets close to a live wire, it starts beeping. At least the one I have does.
Only problem I have is I keep forgetting to turn it off. Not a bigger since it's not really using the battery unless it beeps. I know I must have left it on for a week without any problems.

I got a scope.. It's a p.o.s. scope, but it's a scope. Thing must be about 50 years old, maybe more.

TekTronics 310A

Just haven't learned how to actually use it....yet.
