My Bro got a 2006 Cummins. Tranny seems strong as a horse, that thing has got power like you would not believe. BTW all you Ford and Dodge guys need counseling. There is only one Bad Bowtie!

Well thats a completely different tranny than in the regular rams...

I still perfer a stick but those trannys are pretty stout..

I'd still take a powerstroke over the cummings, but I'd take the cummins over the duramax.... :happy055:

I have yet to see a Powerstroke get 1.6million miles out of it...

my neighbor has a 98 Ram 2500 cummins that has 1.6million miles. He just got Dodge to buy him a new Ram, so he got the 2006 Megacab 2500 with the HO Cummins. I like that truck, so much I am thinking about getting one myself in a couple of years to pull my boat/car.

Just because you havent seen it doesnt mean it don't exsist. I really do like the cummins though, really good powertrains...

I know a guy that has real close to a million miles on his 92 dodge cummins. He runs an escort services (get your mind out of the gutter) so its all hwy milage... My uncle had a 88 full size chevy 5.7 tbi that had well over 300,000 on it, he used it to haul junk/cars... I can insure you that they were VERY had miles...

It's mostly how you maintain a vehicle, you could get a 3 million miles out of a $15,000 honda if you kept fixing it everytime it broke down.... :happy055:

If WELL maintained probably not much different than a dodge/ford/chevy...

You could keep the biggest sh*t box in the world running forever if you didnt mind fixing it all the time...

Yup...I sold my 95 Mrk VIII with 204,000 miles...hell, if I wanted to spend another 1000 into it, it would have done another 200,000miles easy

We had a grand am that ran until 280,000 miles without any major problems. It'd probably still be going strong if it werent for a sudden tranny fluid leak. My mom was in stl going up antire hill when the tranny started slipping, instead of stopping and putting tranny fluid she rodded the hell out of trying to get up the hill... Apperently the motor was just to tired to take it...
