Rockford fosgate P3001 or P4002.. what do you guys think?

Post by jeep1990 »

I got 2 infinity reference 12's single 4 ohm voice coils... in a box with 1.25 cu ft per sub and a 3" port for each sub about 1.5 inches from the bottom of the box around.. 11-12" port length.. and right now i'm stuck with a paperweight lightning audio 150rms amp.. since my other amp blew.. so i was wonder what do you guys think i should get between these two amps?

Rockford Fosgate punch P400.2 http://www.crutchfield.com/S-Gx6EAkoH4RP/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=120&tab=features_and_specs&i=575P4002#Tab

or the Rockford Fosgate punch P300.1 which is supposed rated at 410rms at 2ohm instead of only 300rms http://www.crutchfield.com/S-Gx6EAkoH4RP/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=120&I=575P3001

Before you make any decisions, you may want to check out the "for sale" section here...usually some pretty good deals.

Yeah i just look at some stuff on crutchfield because they usually have the best overview and specs on the products.

well i've decided to go with the 300.1 which is supposed to be actually 410rms @ 2 ohm so 205 rms to each sub will work out perfect. I should be happy since now i got a lightning audio amp thats like 75rms x 2

If you havent already gotten the lightning audio I would look else where... They are overrated and arent very reliable...Maybe get another rockerford p?
