Custom install help

Post by kevinberry1 »

I have recently decided to upgrade my system and add a set of components run by an additional amp. My question is are there any books or websites that someone recommends I check out in order to help me plan and create a custom install? I would like to do something rather professional looking and I'm pretty handy with building materials, etc, so I thought I would give it a try. I plan on using some plexiglass, neon, and building a nice inset amp area, but that is about all I have planned out.
Any suggestions on books or websites would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

I own Car Stereo Speaker Projects Illustarted and The Car Stereo Cookbook..both seem to be good informative reads..although i haven't entirely read through both of them..mostly referenced things here and there.

I also have the Car Stereo Cookbook. Good book, but I have yet to read through it all either.

Hey, thanks for your help! I was looking on Amazon and almost bought the car stereo cookbook, but read some mixed reviews. I think I will go ahead and order it.

The best way to get motivation is to start picking up car audio mags.

I have a years subscription worth sitting in my desk. I mainly bought it to just look at the pictures. Most articles were not worth much attention :p
