Looks like someone tried to hack us.

Luckily I had a backup of the index file. Going to have to find out how he did it tho..

They just overwrote all of the index files on the server. As long as we've got the backup, we're fine.

The portal isn't working as of right now.

Neither is the forums list.

Wow, people really have too much time on their hands. Maybe if they weren't too busy trying to hack sites they could get laid for the first time in their life.

What kills me is that all they really did is overwrite and index file which is in a publicly accessible folder and usually writeable by pretty much everyone on the planet who would want to spend a little time trying to reach it....

OOOOh they are amazing... the really r0xx0r3d 0ur b0xx0rs...

It's actually even simpler than that. They created an automated script that uses some loophole in php to overwrite every index file on the webserver with just plain text.

Ya luckily I've been pretty good about making backups of the database. so if we had to do a new install, I could.

I'll look at the portal, I was just walking out the door when I saw it was down, so I think I may have used the wrong index file when I fixed it.
