Hehe, true that. My dad works for AT+T so the first system I was exposed to was a laptop (they made laptops then?) that only had DOS on it. Then he got an upgrade to Windows 3.1! Wow, it was all graphics and stuff! Hehe. He bought a system with like 8mb of RAM, 100mb harddrive and an Intel 386 in it. I started to teach myself QBasic on that thing. Then we got a 486 with Windows 95 when it came out. yeah my first notebook was a 10MHz 8088, too. monochrome LCD, 20MB HDD, 3.5" external floppy drive.. old Toshiba T1000.
My first "portable" was an IBM PC/XT. had a built in 4" amber CRT, dual full height 5.25" floppies, no HDD, and a full AT size case with an attached keyboard that had a handle for lugging it around.
It was a beast.

I didn't even learn how to use a computer till 10-11 years ago, they scared the hell out of me :help: cause I remember when a computer took up a whole room just to do simple math :)
Back on the subject: keep in mind that Kicker with all of their knowledge still doesn't design every box specifically for every persons liking, just a general product for the masses. I would add more polyfill myself.

One pound of polly fill per every square foot of box = a 10% increase of internal volume.
So yeah he could make it a little bigger, but even then your only talking about a 2.2 cubic foot box. The .2 diffrence won't make that big of a diffrence with those speakers. The slope stayed pretty sharp till the box started to really gain in air space.
