lol this question always stumps everyone... i remember seeing em on the old board... i could have sworn i read it was 175.?... ill check my history and see if i can find the site or somethin

actually the eruption of Krakatoa was teh loudest sound ever recorded.

there isn't any one loudest car really, since it really depends on the equipment used, the sanctioning body recording the event, how it was measured, at what altitude and dew point, and so forth. Every organization claims to have a loudest recorded car.. and there's really no way to prove a definite winner without having all the vehicles in one place, at one time, with an agreed upon set of rules.
