Downfireing Dual Box?
Client wants a Downfire box for either 2 10" or 2 12" subs in a Durango...
I was thinking about doing 2 ported 12"s prolly Type R's i was thinking about 4" Aero ports what do u think about placement and length of them... I cant remember how to calculate port length at the moment (Severe Head Cold)
Also how much room should the box leave for the downfire subs... like 3 inches right?

Fir the ports towards the front.

I'd fire them towards the side just to be different...Ryan from Ohio wrote:I would leave about 2-3"

If you fire them towards the front... You'll have to leave atleast the ports diameter bewteen the seats and the box, so thats atleast 4" back from the seats, thats alot of wasted room... You could fire them towards the back and have an upside crx style box... :happy055:

Yeah, sounds pretty good... Some subs you arent surpose to downfire (something to do with the suspension), I'm not sure if type rs are one of those, but I would check on that before I built the box...
