quick stupid question...

Post by dmeyer07 »

ok i've got a quick question.. what will result if you wire a dual 2 ohm sub ( wired up to 4 ohms) and hook it up to an 8 ohm amp? What damage will result to either, if any.. thanks
it's just a stupid question that's on my mind..

that amp will be running @ 4 ohms. don't do it unless you know for sure that amp can do it!

no the sub's resistance determines the amps output. make sure the amp will handle 4 ohms, and the output of that amp @ 4 ohms is not to much for the sub!
