not higher than the back window...

It's about 3-4 inches below the back window... The box has to sit on the back seat, no other place of it.. Probably isnt the idea vehicle to compete in... ^ thats what the truck looks like on the inside... the box goes to the top of the seat... From one side of the truck to the other, the box is BIG...

db drag racing

db drag bass race

Mini-street classes

I guess we'll do the mini class probably, it seems like it would be our best bet...

And I cant sleep... fan-freakin-tasic! Been up for about 24 hours now, tried sleeping and it doesnt work... Maybe its because I'm hungery... Mmmm I want some white castle!!! Is it worth the 1 hour drive? Nah, probably not... Why am I talking to myself? mmm.....?

Its going to be such a nice day today, sunny & a high of only 87 with calm winds...

I'm going to go now, maybe we have something decent to eat, but probably not... This will be the last time you hear from me until after the comp... Wish me look at all that jazz.... Justin > out... :argh :unwell028

Went into mini street 2...

I learned alot today, one being the term lab mic is pretty damn stiff, the other is be prepared, or be prepared to lose....

The box is tuned to low (35hz) and is way to big (3.7 cuft per sub)... We peaked at 41hz with an embarrasing 135.2 dbs... We didnt come in last, but came pretty close... Most guys in our class were averaging around 137 db, which I know we could of got with a good box...

There was a guy that did a 147ish db run and set a new state recorder for our class, he installed the system the night before... :happy055: Then there was another kid there, think his name was eric or something, he was in the extreme class, he his 172.?.... Wow, that was interesting to see... All the guys from MSE pretty much owned everybody else, but thats ok...

I'm going to build a new box and see if I can get the cvrs into the 138-140 range, just for the fun of it...

I'm so buying a car and running in the street b next season, it was a freaking blast...

But yeah, the box screwed us big time, and its our own fault... I guess you live and learn....

And Bill, you'll probably be my best friend when I start setting up the street b system... what class are you running in?

Well we ran in mini street 2...

I learned a few things today, one being that the term pro mic is pretty damn stiff, the other that you better be prepared, or be prepared to lose...

Our box was tuned to low (35hz) and WAY to big (3.7 cuft per sub).... I designed/built this box about 4 years ago, it was the first time I messed with any of that stuff and I guess I thought that bigger was better.... Anyways the box really dont sound that bad and feels decently loud...

On the mic however... Well lets just say it wasnt so pretty! It peaked at 41hz and laid down a whooping 135.2 db...

The average for our class was around 137 db, although one guy hit something like 147 db and set a new state recorded, that was pretty cool..

There were 2 xtreme class entrys, both from the local shop hosting the event... One blazer, one astro... The blazer did a 160 something and the astro did a 172.?db... That was pretty neat to see...

I'm going to build a new box for the cvrs and see If I can get them to around 138-140 db range, just for fun...

It was tons of fun though, I'm going to try picking up a cheap car to run in the street b class, should be alot of fun...

That isnt too bad of a score with a lower tuned street box. I ran in Street B a few weeks ago, I had a lot of fun with that. I want to start competing more too, but don't know if the EX is going to be the sub to compete with. I think Bill probably has been in many classes so far, but last he told me, he was going to be using 4 12" Hifonics Atlas's... so Street D??
