hey glass, just got AAR Cuda

Post by zacdavis »

I tracked it down a few weeks ago. My father owned it about 25 years ago, I still remember the day he sold this one, lol.
Anywho, the drivetrain is gone, i'm looking for a correct 340 block, obviously a 70'. Although i'd still be happy with a T/A block from a latter year.
There is a company that sells an aftermarket nos style six pack from the intake up complete down to the linkage for like 1500 bucks, so that part is taken care of, but yeah, heads and the correct block may set me back a little.
So, if theres any secret parts yards or avenues you could send me down i'd appreciate it.
Btw, its needing a new trunk pan as well, quarters are really nice though, a couple small portions of the floors need attention, not sure if I want to patch them or replace them with full floor pans, thier not that bad really but then again it is an AAR so?....
Again, not turning this one into a 1/4 million dollar car, it would cost to much getting it to that level, just trying to get it back looking good and correct.
Well anywho I knew your a mopar man as well so thought i'd shoot you a line.
And hey, next time you talk to Jonathan tell'em ta buy this ol 67 ss 4spd Camaro i've got, 3500 bucks, (that should cover a 340 6pack block lol)
L8ron guy,
