another amp suggestion..

im bout to get 2 alpine type r's... and they peak at 1500w each.. (im getting them at best buy because i get an employee discount there).. but i dont know what to get amp wise.. if you could check out http://www.bestbuy.com and see what i'd need for them thatd be tight

Well since your going to buy it at best buy I would get this one. Whether the type R is wired for 2 or 4 ohm this one will work fine. But I am not condoning best buy amps, you asked!

lets broaden this then, lets say i still get all the same at best buy but get my amp elsewhere.. what do you suggest amp wise then?

Forget about max power. The Rms on those subs are 500 I believe.

For an amp at BB I'd get this. I dunno what ohm BB offers with their type R's.

Matt for that amount of money he could buy something way better somewhere else... I mean if BB was selling the Alpine MRD 1000 that would be a nice match for it.

I like the old V12's try to get one of those used i doubt you will be dissapointed... if not maybe get an Autotek mm1000

Oh believe me I know :) But he said if he was to buy it at BB. If he does buy it at BB he gets it at cost plus 5-15% off I believe. So it wont be 600 dollars.

But yes blazin look else where if you are spending that much cash.

Damn i hate BB though i always end up getting in trouble there when I enter their Sub zone cause i move the boxes around heheh.
