I know not to unhook the battery like Bill said, I wasn't planning on doing that.

So if unhooking the battery won't reset it, then what will?

Well tell them not to recommend it anymore. Newer cars controlled with computers can get messed up by it. And VERY new cars (300c, Magnum, etc) will die immediately, because that is how they are made.

You can try unhooking that battery (with the car off and all the accesscries off), but it dont always work... The only true way to reset the codes is to take them off with a scanner, you can get one for around 100 bucks.... You could also try a smaller mom and pop garage to do it, I know my uncle would probably do it for free....
First I would try unhooking the battery for a few minutes though, it might do it.

UPDATE

Today the car started doing something weird again. The battery light has been on since I posted about it, but now a new problem. SOMETIMES, not every time, when I come to a complete stop and put it in first gear, the car just dies. It doesn't shake like when you take your foot off the clutch w/o giving it gas, it just gently dies. Any ideas?
