Test it

Post by KiCkerCompetition »

Is there anything you can do to test if your amp is blown. I think my amp is blown but I don't want to rush out and buy a new one and have the same shit go wrong. Or possibly blow another one up.

What I think may have happened is my battery cable came loose from the "BUMP BUMP" and shorted my shit out. Is this possible. Hit me back.

Couldjust be a blown fuse somewhere. Does the amp not power up at all or what? We need more info on what the problem is.

The amp's lights don't even come on. But today I was driving and all of a sudden my woofers came on and then about 10 minutes later they shut off.

Sounds like a bad ground to me. Make sure the ground is secured well to a spot free of paint or rust. Try to ground to the chasis and not a seatbelt bolt or something either.

sounds like a bad ground, or some other loose wire. Check to make sure everything is connected properly, and tightened. Double check everything.

If everything looks good, and the fuses look good. Could be something internal in the amp that is loose. Bad solder joint, ect.

I have a short fuse, so does that mean that my mind has a loose wire?
