I'd say SPL then. $7-800...hmmm all you want are subs and an amp? You looking for 15's, 12's? You gonna buy from a dealer, or online? If you go with a dealer ( Highly recommended) you will want to have a lil more saved up. If you're going online, You could a 600-1000 watt amp from 200-350 that will be decent. Since you listen to rap? Go with some 15's so your friends will all admirer you. Kicker CVR's, Alpine type R's you can get 2 15's for 200-250 on ebay. Then you gotta add in a box, and wiring. so say 250 for subs, 300 for amp, 50 for wiring. (Buy from knukonceptz.com for your wire) If you can't build your box Your local shop will probably charge ya 200. So that's 800 right there.
That’s my suggestion. Unless you wanna buy a sub off me :)

Wow...all that and sunglasses too. Anyway, first off, is your jeep a hard top or a soft top? That would play alot into what you want. If you have a soft top only, I wouldn't do anything that draws alot of attention. You won't have that system very long and that will be 700-800 bucks down the drain. If it is a hard top, then you will do much better for sound pressure level, or SPL. Soft tops aren't the best format for SPL vehicles cause the tops flex and are thin allowing the sound to leave the vehicle rather than stay in the vehicle where it is needed. I think since you took out the rear seat, you want something impressive so if that is the case, you can take HS's advice and get a pair of 15" subs that would certainly impress your friends. Then add a 600-1000watt amp to the mix and your ears will hate you forever...cause it will be LOUD!!!

I too would highly suggest you going to a shop and having them professionally install your equipment. That is only to be safe and to protect your investment. just my .02 worth

Agreed, but having a great system isnt always about impresing your friends, it should also be about your personality and the way u like things. I dont install in my vehicle to impress my friends i do it cause thats who i am. Im not trying to downplay HS's info or Ohyrmrk's info cause they are both right about what you should get and who should install it, but just be carefull about what you go with in your Jeep. I have a friend who has had 2 jeeps 1 soft top 1 hard top both got broken into and had their system's stolen, and i live in a nice area, low crime rate. If you like somethign for asthetic apeal think about goin with a fiberglass box with 2 12" subs and have the Amp mounted in the center recessed into a amp rack, i think that would definitely look nice... still the 15" are good too

Yah, be concerned about theft. It happens a lot. But I heard Type Rs kick ass in ported boxes. If you want something loud, get one or two of those.
