theres a huge difference between annoying someone with some music and ramming your car into them at 100mph killing both them and you.Ryan from Ohio wrote:Now you people that boom in town imagine if this was your radio equipment and not some fast and furious kids car...

Jesus, Bill, use a spelling checker please! I can barely understand half of what you've typed in this thread!
I understand what Ryan is saying, considering some of the laws being passed or attempted recently against loud car stereos.. Look at the recent Chicago attempt, outlawing the simple possession of any stereo system over 300 watts, or with more than two ten-inch subs, etc.. the violation of which would have resulted in the loss of the owner's car.
While I'm glad to have safer streets without these Canadian street racing bozos, I'm also quite proud of my own car, and have no issue with driving a car with power, as long as it's done so responsibly.
If you get busted for abusing that, you pay for it.

PS, loud stereos aren't totally harmless all the time either. I've seen people with their stereos blasting, totally oblivious to an amulance trying to pass them on roads, too.. holding up emergency response teams because they can't hear anything over the stereo they have blasting.. so don't think a loud stereo is simply annoying and can't cause more serious problems.

wow though. that chicago law kiki just mentioned is crazy. how can they do that. and to try and further understand this, if i go to chicago, and a cop walks up to my car and looks down at the two amps in my back seat, screwed to the back, and if he knows anything and sees that its more than 300 watts, he can take my car??? we should ATLEAST be able to RO SHAM BO for it.... and i get to go first

see thats a load of bullshit, if they ever and I mean EVER pass a law like that in PA and someone tries to take my car, theres gonna be trouble, i dont mean im gonna get pissed and fight trouble, i mean im gonna pull out a .45 and start shooting trouble. More and more the united states tries to control everything everyone does. Well thats bullshit, give a fine if its too loud, or somthin but dont try to take my shit.
And i know every single person on this forum is gonna tell me to grow up or somthin but im just stating how I feel on these kinds of things. Plus im a little mentally unstable

Very true. 10 years ago or so my cousin was street racing on the popular street racing streets here, and some guy stepped out into the street or something and was killed instantly by my cousin's truck or car whatever he was driving. The point is, people are stupid and not necessarily the drivers.Bwcad1 wrote:there is no time and no place for street racing thats y there are drag strips. I used to go down to where they raced a few times. I was all into it at first, but the repeated times of cops coming and just the stupid things done are enough to keep me away for good. I think the last time I went, there were 100 or so people out on the street and 15-20 cop cars came and broke it up. I think the 'safest' thing I'd seen there was the racers flashing their headlights as they raced.
