is it worth it

Post by nightshadow208 »

i was looking at the boss rt1045 2channel amp. it says that it is $499 msrp but i am getting it at $128. it is 1600 watts. i know on the good bad and ugly list it is on the bad list but i read some reviews and found out boss is okay. i just want to know can it push my audiobahn flame q 1100 rms

well first of all i wouldnt buy a boss amp for a couple issues including reliability, quality and product for price.
couple things to keep in mind is that 1600watts (are you sure thats rms btw?) might be overrated, seeing as how a lot of lower-end brands overrate their stuff. Another thing to keep in mind is that audiobahn sub doesnt need exactly or anything over 1100wrms to perform to its max. its nice to have more wattage for good clean power but its not necessary...you could be looking at amps in the 800-1000 range too.

then again it could depend upon what kind of box its going into, sealed or ported.

lots of things to take into consideration :-/

Based on what ive seen...stay way away from boss. Audiobahn is only 1 step up from boss. The only reason im still using my 'bahn amp is bc i bought it a long time ago and dont have any money to buy a new amp.
