Don't ya' just love athlon64's?! Hey since were on it, what hardware y'all running in your computer's? Brand and all that, did you build them yourself?
Here's mine:
Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe motherboard
Athlon 64 3800+ 9nm(forgot its codename :p )
Asus Geforce 6600 256mb
Hitachi SATA2 160 Gb
Creative Audigy 2 ZS Platinum

The only thing I could get drivers for is the audigy and the graphics, the rest they didn't make drivers for Vista yet.

I built mine. Running Athlon 64 2800+ New Castle. Was running a Radeon 9800 Pro until it died and got replaced with some cheap OEM card I had lying around :argh

I've used both, this is the first problem I've had with any. I think it was a freak occurance. You also can't say "All ATI cards suck" either because this was "so and so" companies card. So if anything, I'd just not buy a card from that company again.

Oh I understand how different companies products are going to be bad or good. I just think that ati's older chipsets were not as good as nvidia's. But the new stuff seems to be pretty bad ass! MSI's card are ALWAYS good, so are ASUS and VISIONTEK seems to be good. I have used all three, also used BFG, but since you can buy those at walmart, I have questions about there quality....

EDIT: I can't wait to try out the 64x2 chips, like the 4800+ maybe ;)

After all the talking (typing) I did, wouldn't you know it.... CRASH!

Last night we had a major storm blow through here (hurricane season again). We lost power for a little bit. When the computer booted back up, it lost ALL the drivers for Wintv, Nvidia 5700LE, my camera, and a few other things. Talk about being pissed. I was considering going back to XP, but am going to give Vista another chance. I am going to reinstall the drivers again (what a friggin pain that's gonna be), and pray that it'll work.

I like Vista. I like where it has the potential to go, providing M$ doesn't screw things up.

You know MS gave a bunch of hackers a copy, and asked them to break it. I guess these guys are the best of the best in the hacker world. So we will see what happens.

Yeah I got a few min free at work. Not much going on tonight.

Just ordered myself a 6800 to replace my 9800 pro. Looking forward to better performance there.
