I have no expeirnce with these. But I'm in the search of an alarm. While I was at a shop talking to the person, he talked to me about a scytek alarm. Never heard of it. But this is how he described it.

clifford is a ferrari, scytek is a toyota. Both are good, but one is the best. I've heard of audiovox, but havne't really heard too great of things but nothing really that bad also.

I used to install Prestige alarms. I had great luck with them back then. I'm sure they're still good now. The thing about alarms is, you can have an alarm that cost $600 but if the install doesn't know what he's doing, it's not going to really matter. Now, if you have an alarm that cost you $140 and you have a good installer ... you'll be in business. I'm looking at this one myself ... http://www.techronics.com/index.cfm?fus ... ct_ID=1702

I installed Viper for a couple years too. I'm very partial to Viper.

I had an Audiovox alarm some years ago... About 1996-97.

The alarm didnt have crap for range and the shock sensors weaken rather quickly.

I bought a Compustar in 2000. Now thats an alarm :)

It seriously all depends on what alarm you want.

The install prices vary... Mainly from $200-400 or so...

There better alarms run you $250-$400 depending on alarm and add ons...

All I can say is it is an alarm you will uninstall if you ever sell the car or loose it by other means. Once you get it, use it you will love it. You will want it in your next vehicle. It is by far the ebst alarm I have dealt with. Also the best Customer Support and fast responses...

Ok thanks, i'll see if there are any shops around here that install and sell them. I'm assuming i should get profesional installation as i have no idea what i'm doing with alarms, i'm sure i could do it but i've heard it's best just to pay for it.
