Few questions

Post by Darthness »

first of all... whre can i get the clips that are used to hold interior panels down? mainly the ones that i've managed to break when working on my car.

secondly, my drivers side seat is damaged.it like caved in or something.. the seats been screwy since we've had it but it finally decided to go. is there a way to repair seats like that, DIY versus takign it to a upholstery place or finding one that'll match?

thirdly.... i what would you guys suggest for getting stains out of seats? i don't have any that are *too* bad but i'd like to get them out and keep my seats in better condition.

lastly... cracks, holes, etc on dash panels.. are these repairable or should i just look into replacing them? i have a few holes on my a-pillars that i ahve from mounting my tweeters and suchh..

1 partexpress.com has the clips as does autozone or car parts place

2 not sure if i follow this. seat covers ???

3 not really sure i would just take normal laundry detergent or stain remover to them and give it a shot.

4 just replace the door panels there usually on ebay.

you could always take seats from a different vehicle and put them in there.. also you can try a shampooer to get the stains out, or take it to a detail shop.. and ive heard of people using bondo to cover up cracks and such in their dash, ofcourse you will have to paint, you could even get a dash cover, kinda like seat covers but for the dash..

#2 sounds more like structural damage to the seat. Maybe some of the metal support inside broke and you could reweld it or something.

no... the actual seat is messed up. i don't really know how to describe it... but the metal wire stuff on the underside of the seat has broke and the padding has started to slip through.. not sure how to describe it.

replace the seats, or recover them, and take them apart. the springs and foam can be replaced or repaired once the seat is stripped to the frame.
