Gain / Frequency / Bass Boost Settings
My head unit puts out 2.5V for the line-out level.Airforceyooper wrote:ok, the quick easy way, but least accurate way to set gain would be by ear or to look at the gain dial and set it as close to 2.5 volts as you can. There should be numbers around the adjustment knob. like 2 volts to .2 or something like that.
the more accurate way would require the use of a digital multimeter and test tones.
Matt, where in the North are you?
My subwoofer out is 2.0V.
Which one should I adjust for my speaker one? I'm assuming the line-out..
Also.. how do you do it by ear? Just listen to it and set it? The max on my gain dial is 11, so I just set it on around 2.5v?

If you have any test tones, I'd use that. The clipping will be much more obvious. For subs use about a 50hz freq.
