vibe qb69's 200w x 2channels.. help?

Post by ebin »

Vibe qb69's are rated with 200w rms... i've installed tham and they're just too damn quiet when powered by the head unit. (a clarion)

I'm limited by budget, would prefer not to spend more than £150 ($300)

I found this amp - http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/produc ... /4472.html

Which no-one's ever heard of (aparantly it's made by audiobahn and my mates slated the company)
So is audiobahn geuinely a poor make?? I'm really keen cos the advert above quotes the amp as providing 0.02% total harmonic dostortion. Most amps seem to provide less than 1%.

Basically - is this amp not good? cos i've asked a few people and they just seem to disregard it without giving a technical reason... it seems ppl just dont like the name!

Or - can anyone recommend something i can afford?
I'm a fan of pioneer products but wanted to see if this amp was actually poor before settling for a much less powerful pioneer amp that i can afford.

audiobahn is overrated and the lower lines are crap. the higher line amps are ok for budget amps. but they're not the best in the world. for $300, you can do alot better. orion, dei, lanzar opti d series, rf, etc. stay away from audiobling, pyle, pyramid, sony, lanzar (lower lines), lightning audio, etc.

also, what sub are you running? what's the vc config and rms handling?

the main problem with companies like that is they don't always put out the power thats stated and usually have reliability issues... they're built from cheap parts and such. i'd help you find another hamp but it seems the site i was looking it crapped out on me. try sonicelectronix.com
