quick question

Post by MrSo0h0o »

hopefully soon i will be getting an RE10 or RE12. i believe they are both dual 4ohm? to run one, i should be looking at the power ratings at 2 or 4 ohm?

and what if i want to run 2 of them? do i look at the 2 or 4 ohm power rating?

well...if you run 1 sub...it will be running at either 2 ohms parallel or 8 ohms series. if you run 2 subs, they will be running at either 1 ohms parallel or 4 ohms series. (someone correct me if this is wrong). so if you were to run just one, look for an amp that is 2 ohm stable. if you are looking at running 2, there are a lot more amps to choose from, either 4 ohm stable or 1 ohm monoblock.

You would be looking for a 1 or 4 ohm load for two of them. 2 or 8 ohm for a single driver.

*edit: er... what ridr4lif said lol ^
