HELP WITH JBL's

Post by haydens_JBL »

hi all, new to the forums, for some help, i have got my JBL 2000, 220w rms 4 ohm bridged, i have it up to 2 splx 600w peak, and they were fine up until recently, when my amp justconsistently keeps blowing fuses, 25a, so i replaced the amp to see if that solved the problem it didn't, so i have got me a new sub :fing02: , JBL GTO 12 02d, 12" dual voice coils, 1200w peak 300w rms, now, i have never had a d.v.c before an it luks confusing, i think i should wire it with the coils in series as its only the 1 and its 4 ohm like my amp at 4ohm, i think, is this right?? i havent put it in yet because my 12" box hasnt come yet,
any help would be greatly appretiated
thanks

hi, so thats what i want i take it, 4 ohm load with the 4 ohm bridged amp. this is the sub: http://www.jbl.com/car/products/product ... ion=EUROPE
and this is my amp: http://www.jbl.com/car/products/product ... kProduct=Y

do you have any idea why my amp keeps popping fuses, i think it might be the current subs are damaged, and another quick question, is it true you need to break a sub in, like not have it on full for a period of time as it doesn't mention anything in the manual,
thanks again
