okay..now i really do neeed a new amp

Post by broosky333 »

okay as seen in my previous thread, i fried my amp and now i am looking to egt a new one at a reasonable price...i am either looking for a mono stable at 1 ohm prefferable.....or a 2 channel stable into 4 ohms bridged......i want 1100 watts minimum.......i had a few amps in mind.....an eD nINE.1, maybe and old school rockford power 1100a2, or maybe an RE 12.1......for anyone wondering i have 2 12" RE SEs Dual 4 ohm VCs in a ported box if that helps.....i don't wanna spend a lot....hopefully keep it below 400 cause i'm getting low on cash after my last purchase

i was looking around the net and happened to find someone Selling a US Amps 1000x......the specs are 300wrms x 2 @ 4ohm, 500wrms x 2 @2ohm, and 1000wrms x 1 @ 4ohm bridged and thats all rated at 12 volts.....wut uthink of that? not a bad price either....250 but i guess the cosmetics of the amp are pretty bad...quite a few dings but nonethe less seems to be a good amp

your going to want closer to 1400 watts they kind like a little more power than they are rated for. id probaly get a 12.1 before that us amp even though its higher price. but it would be kinda a shame to but a nine.1 on those.

i dont like EDs business praticies so id never buy something from them and you might as well match sub with amp if you can. the 12.1 will put out between 1400-1500 and i dont know the direct price. what part of MN are you located? cause if your too close to me then you cant get it direct but if your far enough away you can.

the JBL 1200.1 IS 1ohm stable.... and can be had for way less than $300, and they are known to run at 1ohm and not get hot.. mine doesnt at all, but its a 2ohms, and i play my stere loud all day long and it doesnt get hot At All.. great amp, i dont think anyone can disagree.. read reviews on it..
