I do agree this happens to everyone. Happen to me before. What caused it for me was, I finally ended up with everything I wanted an saved up for. And after I did all that and showed everybody I was like there’s nothing else to save up for yada.

What got me back into it was when my sister wanted some thump in her car. So I started searching and searching for some deals till I found some. Them I got to instal it. Then my best buddy got into the mix. And I had lots of fun with him. He is a complete noob to car audio so you know what I had to go through.

Anyway, my advice, is to do what you said. Start doing some home audio projects. Bring in some of that type of crowd with your box designs, and you'll have a blast doing that. And then maybe one of them home audio'ers will look to add to their car. So I believe what makes you uninterested is when you've finally hit the peak, and like you said, everyone wants loud for cheap and you just can't have fun with that

Im just in it because I love my music and I love it loud, but I love it to sound good too, and my infinity reference 12s and jl components do it just fine for me. I chuckle everytime I hear people saying I love the kicker solobarics they are so loud. Maybe its just me but my infinitys sound much better lol. I dunno, now that im happy with my setup people being louder than me doesnt bother me because half the time they will sound like crap.

car audio has my been my main hobby for the past year and a half.. an di havn't been bored with it yet! maybe its becasue i'm on such a tiny budget that i actually have to buy component by component over a a few weeks or even months. I've always wanted to do a home audio system and i think i may be moving in the next month or so, so maybe sinister could take his mind off car audio for a moment and help me ge tsetup with that. i want a basic home audio system 2 basic bookshelfs and one basic sub.. maybe an RE 10, or if cheap enough a SE10.

That's when you whip out the badass front stage with double midbass drivers and horns to show them what loud really is. 120+ db front stage will make them scream mercy :bow

If it sounds good in the process, sure it is. I'd love to be able to hear Tony Pasquale II's comp car. Baddest front stage in SQ, JL 10IB4s in the kicks with some ID CD2 comp neos. IASCA world champ 3 years in a row.
