Engine whine

Post by broosky333 »

I have some engine whine through my high channels...and i was wondering if that would be due to a bad grounding spot...i have my mono and my 4 channel going into my alumapro 5 farad, and that grounds out to a part of my trunk...do you guys think it a bad grounding location or soemthing else...and if it is a ground what would be a better grounding location....i was told that the frame rails of the car usually a good spot because it has very low resisitance or running a wire all the way to the battery...would either of those methods work? :help:

What amp are you using? You could try regrounding your amp to the frame of the car..make sure all the paint is sanded away for your grounding location. If you're still recieving noise try adding a Ground loop Isolator. We use the PAC ground loop isolators at the shop and they work real well.
