question about amplifier's

Post by wretchedhunger »

To start out i know very little about car audio, so if i sound like an idiot it's because i am. What i was thinking was if i'd be able to run 4 speakers and two subs off one amp or just get two amp's?

there are some 5 channel amps on the market, 4 channels for front and rear speakers and 1 mono for sub(s).http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fus ... uct_ID=248
thats an example, there are alot of 5 channels on that site you could look at, or talk to a dealer on here!! :) you could also run a 4 channel i suppose, correct me if im wrong guys, run left front and rear of one channel, right front and rear of another, then bridge the other two to get the power to run some subs.
the latter option is just that, an option, not a recomendation. I would just go with two amps myself for that many channels.
