Lightning Audio
I'm just wondering what everyone thinks of Lightning Audio now that RF owns them. I've heard they're newer amps put out some pretty good power for the money. Anyone had any experience of heard anything about them?

i look at lighthing audio as less than fosgate , one of there amps had all this crazy yellow and chrome on the amps everywere, something ive learned in this car audio thing is that , that usually is not a good sign, plus there amps are really cheap $, it seams like a more affordable less perfermonce that RF type of product.

yeah i was gonna say...its been a while now.KikiTheCat wrote:RF has owned Lightning for quite a while now, and I haven't seen any real improvement in product quality.
has anyone else heard or read about the whole MB Quart ordeal? for those of you that havent, MB Quart is owned by RF...and RF started manufacturing some MB stuff in the US. last year the audio industry altogether struggled pretty bad, and RF ended up losing about $750 per quarter. sooo....MB got sent back to germany, and even some stuff is being produced in taiwan and other cheap places. i dont know how much longer we can expect to see the same qulaity MB quart has been. also, RF defaulted on some federal loans, so they ended up turning some portion of MB Quart to the German government. i only read an article or two on this, i cant seem to dig anything else up though. kind of makes me mad that RF seems to be selling out MB right now.
Lightning Audio is pretty low in the chain yes. close to sony.
a double post is the exact same topic in two separate forums, or in the same forum but two threads.audiobass10 wrote:Sorry to double post but i found this Review on one of the Strike Series amps..which are the ones i'm interested in. Do you guys think this review is b.s.? Assuming the review is legit..It looks like a pretty solid line.
on to your question. i dont see a link to a review....but are you basing your observation on looks literaly? or did i misunderstand you? some companies do things better than others, but usually they dont produce a full line that is good and everything else sucks. ie some companies produce good head units, but not so good amps etc.
i think lightning is a waste of time. there is so much more out there right now in the same price range that you could bet money on to perform better. i suggest you don't gamble, unless the physical look of it is really more important than the way it performs. companies will write tricky ads and possibly even fake reviews just to get you to buy their product...be careful.
