RIP kicker

Post by High Society »

I had to say bye bye to my amp today. I don't think I have seen so much smoke in my life. I called my local shops and they said they didn't know of any places that could fix it. And I'm so broke I don't have anything to replace it. I asked one shop and they said $250 for a memphis amp. But I can't spend that. It is such a perfect day today to ride with the windows down and bump. Well off to ebay I guess, unless anyone has an amp I can borrow :)

What happened? Are you going to send it back to Kicker for repair?

Well the other day on my way to school the amp turned on then off. I checked it this morning, and the two fuses were blown. So i got two new ones, and then hooked the amp back up. Then once I hooked up the battery wire, the amp started smoking. I'll send you a pm right now Bill.

Well looked for a replacement amp, and All I could find is a Nitro 1200 watt amp haha, I have my arc audio 400.4 for but it wont work at 2 ohms. So I'm stuck with no bass. I was wanting to sell it but can't now. I don't really wanna send it in to kicker, cuz I can use that money towards my new amp. All well, shit happens, it was a great amp tho.

What's the warranty on it?

Contact Kicker, maybe they might do something or at least give you some options to places to fix it.
