Buy your Rainbow NOW!

Post by Justin from Detroit1 »

Just got off the phone with a good source (who is friends with the owner of Alumapro, the American distributor for Rainbow) and Alumapro is no longer going to be distributing Rainbow products! Rainbow is strictly going to be a European company after this, with no dealers or distributors in the USA. So, call up a local dealer (not me, I'm not a dealer) or Alumapro directly to get these amazing products before they are no longer available.

 That really sucks. I'd hope they come up with some form of distribution in the US. They could really sell some speakers if they'd just make the product more accessible to us. We're the richest friggin nation in the world.

Yea, the richest but cheapest.

Damn that sux that rainbow will not be sold in the U.S. anymore. If i had money i'd spring for an awesome component set.

Someone should buy a shitload of their speakers and hold on to them for about a year and make a profit. (if anyone does this i get 10% for coming up with the idea)

This doesnt surprise me. THey should of left well enough alone and stayed with ARC.

How much Audio does Aluma Pro really sell? I cant even say I know of ONE person who has Aluma Pro. As a matter of fact the ONLY person I have ever heard talk about Aluma Pro was a newb to here that was at a dealer trying to push it on him. BTW that newb ended up with an RE RE 12" sub...

Oh well. There is more out there than Rainbow, plenty more.

The info is partially correct. Alumapro does not distribute anymore. Although US dealers are still allowed. Just needing to order direct from Germany.

Actually it takes a bit over a week depending when the order is placed and theres no shipping charges if a minimum order is placed.

I'd bet they sell more capacitors than speakers/subs.

The Rainbow Plats have the best compact dome tweeter I've ever heard, but not so good that it justifies the EXTREMELY high cost of the set. Overall I was more impressed with Lotus References. And they're over $2000 cheaper.

They actually sell a decent amount, just not so great on the advertising or getting the word out. I wouldnt put them as one of my top sellers, but I do a fair share.

As for the Platinums, that would depend on which set. The actives are substantially cheaper than the passives.

I was saying that because Tweeter stores carry their capacitors, and not their speakers/subs. For that reason, I'd bet caps are their #1 thing. No clue, though.

I was putting apples to apples and saying passives. Either way, I can't justify either cost saying I like the Lotus Refs. better.
