FedEx Rant

Post by jonnyb »

i offically hate fedex with a passion now.
so i order my new deck(pioneerdeh8600) from sounddomain on monday, ships out the same day, and fedex tells me its gonna get here by friday. sweet, i dont work sunday, which gives me the whole day to install it, and screw around with it. so i track it all week long, cause im OCD about it. and i wake up on friday at like 11am, cause god knows when they will deliver it. (ive had packages from fedex come at like 11am, and at like 7pm)(and im one of those freaks, as soon as its there, i gotta open it and play with it) so i watch some TV to kill time. 4pm. still no package. mind you ive forced to watch MTV's "Date My Mom" which is a horrible show because nothing else it on. anyways, i gotta work at 5, which means i gotta leave my house by 430 to get there. i leave, no package. no biggie, when i get home it will be there. i get off work at 3, goto my friends house, chill there till 5 and go home. sweet, finnaly, i get to play with my new toy. i open the door, excpecting it to be there. nope. maybe its in my room? nope. maybe in the kitchen? nope. so im all like wtf? i goto the computer and track the order. it says: Delivery Exception -- Incorrect Address... ok.? how do you people have the incorrect Address when i have ordered from the same website, with the same address? so i call sounddomain, they tell me to call FedEx to get it worked out. so i call em. i give em the number they need and everything. and yea, they have the wrong address, how? i have no clue. so i give em the right one. and then, they guy tells me : "well, you can expect your package to be there on TUESDAY..." so when i was originally expecting 3-5days, im now looking at 8. gee, thanks, buddy. fuckers. i hope fedex collapases, and UPS takes over everything. they are so much better.

ok, sorry, just needed to rant a bit.

Geez, that's stupid, if they messed up, they should have corrected it much faster. They should have shipped it 1 day air or whatnot to makeup for the mistake.

I've had a lot better experience with fedex than I have with UPS.. and USPS, gods.. I sent a package to Canada, they used a pen to CHANGE the address themselves, then sent it back as "wrong address" and wanted ME to pay to ship it again.
I told the post master he'd send it again, and secure the label this time, and HE'D eat the cost, or I'd drive through the front of his post office and park there till it got done.

UPS has the added fun of sending to or from Canada and tacking on their dumbass brockerage fees that double the cost.

jonnyb, had a similar experience this summer waiting anxiously (and drooling) for a pair of speakers to come. I've been ordering stuff via FedEx at my work address for several years, this time, called them and the message from their driver was "nobody was at this address" (that's the lobby, dumbass, try coming to the 9th floor like it says on the address label) so they returned the package to their hub. Next day, some sort of song and dance story, I ended up driving to their local hub office like Ryan says, luckily it's only 5 miles from my house, but still, got my speakers 2 days later than expected. Hey, it does feel good to rant and rave a little, I didn't realize I was still ticked off about that little episode.
