so ya, i kinda had what you may call an epiphany the other day. ive always like rap. before i had my new components and sub, rap still sounded really good with just a set of 1" tweeters up front, 6x9s in the rear deck, and my alpine type-x 10 in a ported enclosure that was too small and tuned too high. anyway, i finally got my new components and sub, and the bass is alil louder and alil deeper, but everything else pretty much sounded the same. Then i had my roomate drive around with me for awhile and we start listening to alot of dave matthews, damien rice, and death cab for cutie. and we were just blown away by how good it all sounded, with basically the sub turned almost all the way down. He was always skeptical on why i was spending so much money on all this shit for my car, but when he was able to hear everything so clearly he reallized why. So yeah, before i was all about spl, because basically, thats all rap is. back when i lived in ohio is was all about rap and how loud you could bump. now im starting to listen to alot more rock and alternative type of shit and its starting to be all about sq. It just seems like spl and sq almost are entirely dependent on the type of music you listen to. i also realize that harder rock probably has alot more bass but im really not into that. I have no idea where im going with this but theres not alot of talk today and i felt like sparking something up. so...what is everybody more into. SQ or SPL, and what type of music do you listen to for it.

i listen to everything from ying yang twins to michael buble.. my system sounds much better with music more towards the michael buble song, only because my components are nice(IMO) but my sub(RF HE2) isnt that great.. just waiting for some income to upgrade my subs and i think everything will sound equal.

I'm all about the electronic music in my car, i always love the way it sounds with a hi-end audio system. Anything from the Freestylers, Breakfastaz, Pendulum, to the Bomfunk MC's, Prodigy, etc. Always loved how electronic sounds.

i listen to prodigy once in a while but 90% of the time its rock mostly older stuff. i listen to alot of zepplin door hendrix eagles skynard who nuget then for harder stuff fear factory rob/white zombie older korn pantera and so on. i also usually listen to alot of ICP and blind melon which are kinda oppisites. i hate most new rock cause its not my style.

Yeah I listen to about everything too, except for country. But I have to say rock, and Techno sound the best. Especially some of the better trance like Tiesto, Van Dyk, and so one.
