[quote="Elvinlord05 i just bought a zapco 1100.1 reference amp for 485
sigh, and if its crap it returnable. [/QUOTE"]

Zapco is NOT CRAP. Zapco is an awesome company for amps. And 485 isnt a bad price for one either. I think you will be plenty happy with the Zapco.

O belive me, i understand how good zapco is, and totally agree its not crap, but its used so i mean if its crap, like broken or been abused then it is returnable. But all in all im excited to get it. And 485 is a good price considering i bought my 200.1 reference for$300 new, and i just got a 1100.1 for only 485

im sure it will all be good.

But something i need to know before i do buy my type r's. If i am running them to the amp (which is 2 ohm stable) and i have put the dvc in parallel on both, since im connecting them to a mono block that has only one positive and negative terminal, does that wiring confieration cause them to be wired in parallel to each other sine they are sharing the same channel.
For example, i buy both at dual 2 ohms, wire the vc both in series up to a 4 ohm load, and then parallel into the amp to drop the total load back down into 2, does the parallel occur naturally when i wire the two positives and negative together in the one channel. If not then i would need to buy dual 4ohm, wire the vioce coils in parallel, and then strait into the amp if it changes no ohms load (but im surethat probably cant work, but thats why i am asking)
thanks

I dunno if you already have, but don't forget to upgrade your electrical system. You don't want to waste 500 bucks on your new amp just because you don't have enough juice.

I know its something i need to do very soon, but does a place like les swab tires have the battery and altinator i will want, or are there special places that have better altinators and heavy duty batteries for car audio??
does anyone know what would be a reasonable price for a better altinator and a battery?

For alternators, check out http://www.motorcityreman.com

For batteries, optima's are a good choice.
