for some reason the pawn shops around filter them out to all the little kids and i have to work my ass off to get the crap straightened up. i would never every suggest an audiobahn sub/amp/speaker/deck to my competitors even.

My buddy had some of those really big flame 1200watt rms subs. What a joke, I told him they were nothing but cool looking paper weights. They sound like arse to me. He had some old rockford’s, he should have kept them. I think they were the power series too.

Me too, before they got into head units, before they were sold at circuit city. They were just better then.

audiobahn amplifiers don't tend to blow up like say, sony and rockwood products.. they're about entry level for quality, but I disagree with company practices so I avoid audiobahn products on principle if not for build quality. Now the subs are so-so. some like the immortals get loud.. some like the flame Qs just suck.
none of them sound all that exceptional

The old RF Audiophile subs were great. Some of the old RF head units were built by Denon, and are highly regarded.

hehe, you should see the Audiobahn debates on the ecoustics forums, though. It gets messy :)

I know over at SIN, audiobahn was turned into the BBB. Some guy was real pissed about it, and had a following making complaints too.
