Eclipse 8454 Analog AUX in

WTH? I would think a top of the line Eclipse would have an Analog RCA AUX in, but the only input marked on the back is Digital in... If that's the case, I am screwed since I wont be able to connect my Satelite Radio unless I use the FM modulator, which I will not.

I saw on the manual an option to switch between Analog/digital input, which is a good sign But WHERE do I connect it? It says there is an option to connect an external device like mp3 player using an Mini Jack, but the ONLY minijack input is for the microphone used for calibration, which (the microphone), btw, has a MONO mini jack. I am confusing myself


Anyone who has the deck,, please AIM me, evangel0sK , or PM me/e-mail me b/c I have more questions about it. I can tell you the manual SUCKS royally. I appreciate it if you do This is my 1st Eclipse deck and I am kinda lost...

i have the 8443 its pretty close to yours, i believe there is a switch on the side on the cdplayer and you switch that and use one of the rca's out for the input it should be marked input or something on one of them. i believe the switch is on the right side towards the back.

I used the mini jack for my sat. radio. It appears to be working in stereo. Just becuase the microphone is mono doesnt mean the connection is.
I also have the 8443, should check for that switch you mention and move mine over to rcas, just for less wires in the dash =)

Thanks, I verified it is the mini jack you use for the mic :)

Thanks again for your quick answers. Do your 8443s have a "Fixed output" RCA connection? What is it for? In the nanual where it lists the possible ways to connect the deck, it says "Not In Use" for it. Just curious.
