I'd like an Aston DB9 as well (good choice, Jon. Read my mind) or an H1 for trail running. A Saleen S7 would be fun for a domestic as well. I'd love to have an old 50s Mercury lead sled (think ZZ Top's Cadzilla style) and I've already got my '66 Charger with the 440 for a street car, with the possibility of a 69 road runner 383/4 and a 440/ 6-pack 'Cuda in the near future if they pan out.

I guess I'm a bit like Leno in some respects.. so many cars I'd love to own for different reasons.. hard to pick one, or even a few.
I'd love to have a new Shelby Cobra (the flagship with the aluminum body and SC427 that does 0-60 in 2.something seconds) too.. odd that I named two Fords so far and I don't really even like Ford. lol

I know what you mean, kiki. It's hard for me to choose with so many types of cars, there are the huge, lopey cammed drag racers, the smooth running, good performing roadster/convertibles, the sexy musclecar fastbacks, the parade queens, the high speed top end cars, and of course can't leave out the vintage trucks. Then there are other cars that you otherwise wouldn't choose, but just hold the key to your heart for sentimental reason.

The DB9 is one of the few new cars that scream out to me. It is the sexiest car I've seen come out in a LONG time. Main reason I like the DB9 is that it carries the same attributes that I love about vintage cars, clean, smooth lines, a luxurious interior that focuses on class instead of showing off gadgets, and of course a powerful engine with a sweet exhaust note and near perfect handling. Even with the things it offers, such as navigation, the screen goes flush into the dash when not in use instead of sticking out for bling factor. In the words of Leonardo Da Vinci, "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication". Most car manufacturers have lost their focus on the true things that make a great vehicle and the end result usually makes a vehicle look ugly just to be different.

3, the Aston, the Cobra, and the Mercury. Saleen almost counts, too :)

yeah if ya cound the cobra's block design, but that all aluminum 427 is custom made for and by Carroll.. so that one is very borderline.. lol
The Saleen is probably a closer match.

I've always loved Astons though. I'd even take a vintage DB5.. Bond style.
Not all that fast, and not even that luxurious by today's standards, but it's a pimped car bone stock.

Most of them are borderline Ford anywho. Ford is even borderline Ford with all the influence from Mazda and Volvo :) I think it's a step forward, though, Ford hasn't been a big player in the mid/fullsize car segment for a LONG time.

on a side note, if I had that Merc, I'd probably use a GM or Mopar drivetrain in it.

Traitor! I'd squeek that all aluminum Shelby 427 in there or the 5.0L Cammer engine Ford Racing has come out with, since all is paid for. :) Back to the real world though, I've considered putting the 4.6L Modular in an old convertible or something, I was skeptical at first, but those engines have proved themselves to be very reliable and smooth running. Perfect for a cruising car.

i think id probaly go with an original ac cobar with the 427 side oiler but the new one would be so awsome too. id take a new ford gt too kinda ugly but i love the inside and it just kicks ass

that or a r34 skyline gtr... I have always liked those but gotta love those vettes... the new zo6's with the ls7 should be awesome <drool>
