Loud buzzing/humming noise from speakers???
I recently put in a new amp and rewired all my speakers. When turning on the amp and HU the speakers will make a loud constant humming/buzzing noise. The sound level stays the same whether the volume is up or down, it also does not change with acceleration. The only time it does change is when more RCAs are plugged in. With one set plugged in almost no noise, with 2 sets in the noise gets louder, with 3 sets in the humming gets a lot louder. The HU is not the problem and I'm doubting its a ground issue. What else could it be? I also ran jumper cables from the neg battery terminal to the ground of the HU and Amp ground... noise was still there

do you have subs? what speakers is this ( new amp ) running ? to start with the easy stuff is your power wires and remote wire and rca's ran away from each other ? what kind of rya cables do you have ? are they good ? for sure? these are the cheap and easy fixes check them then if not check the amp you bought.

I'm guessing this sound is only present when the car is running?
have you tried switching your RCAs around, just to see if the sound in introduced by a certain set of RCAs?
Where is your power wire ran? Is it right along side your RCAs? Try moving them away from each of if so?
Check your grounds too, I always try and keep my ground wire as short as possible.
Next as plcrides said, if you're using really cheap RCAs try getting some better ones. I like the ones at knukoncepts, better quality and pretty affordable.

Bad RCAs switched to non-twistde, but shielded ones today. With all three blugged in no loud buzzing/hummingChris from Washington wrote:I'm guessing this sound is only present when the car is running?

i never said he had cheap rca's lmao don't make me look like the bad guy hehe, thats awesome man,yea always start with the cheapest things first, meaning, moving wires around,is free, making sure their not touching the power wire is free and then check the rca's and then the expensive part would be the amp.thats what i meant.its hard to word it right i guess.but i meant start with the low cost items first before the amplifier, their thats better right chris lol.
