tweeter question

I have a Miata 2001 with a stock Bose stereo ...my tweeters are not working...any suggestions...? I'm guessing its any easy fix...not sure....

Hi,
Welcome to the forum, is it only the tweeters (highs) that are not working? Both sides?
Are the tweeters separate from the mids, or is it a coaxial?

Yes the tweeters are separate.... no mids...I guess my question is could the stereo cause the loss to the tweeters or I may have to pull the door panels off...I most likely will have to start with looking at the tweeters.....any suggestions ? Yes both sides...

At this point I will upgrade to a new system...spare the hassle of messing the old stock Bose..:-)

Ya that Bose stuff it could be almost anything.
I would yes take the panel off and examine the tweeters themselves. Then trace the wires back, make sure nothing is shorted out.
All the way back to the bose amp.

Very odd that both tweeters would go out, but nothing else.

Knowing me , I would break something.....causing the expense of buying a new head end upgrade any, o speakers too :-)... thanks for the advice :-)
